Dipti Irla is a fashion designer turned artist and has worked for well-known brands, both in India and the US. She currently resides in San Mateo, California where she received her graduate degree in Fashion Design from the Academy of Art University at San Francisco. Through the University program her final year work was selected to be displayed at the 2011 New York Fashion Week.

Her most recent corporate job was that of a technical designer with Stitch Fix. While she enjoyed her work, she sorely missed having a creative outlet. After the birth of her son in 2019 she decided to step away from the job and during that time started reconnecting with her creative side. This is when she decided to pursue art as a career.

At the heart of her art is a sense of playfulness, a spirit of joy that animates each and every piece I produce. In all of her work, she seeks to bring a message of positivity and hope.

The natural world and diverse cultural influences have long been a rich source of inspiration for her, with her upbringing in India infusing her work with elements of Indian art
